Meet the Orthodontist
Dr. Varghese is a board certified orthodontist whose top priority is to provide you with the highest quality orthodontic care in a professional and relaxing atmosphere. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received degrees in both Psychology and Sociology. His interest in life sciences and dentistry led him to Marquette University Dental School in Milwaukee, where he graduated in the top of his class with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. While attending Marquette, he was elected to the Omnicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. He worked on several research projects and has authored a paper that is published in the Journal of Forensic Odonto-stomotology. Following dental school, he completed a two year orthodontic residency and received both a Master's Degree and a certificate in Orthodontics from Marquette University. Dr. Varghese has also taken the extra steps to become a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists, the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association.Dr. Varghese is a member of several professional associations on local, state, and national levels. His professional affiliations include: American Association of Orthodontists, American Board of Orthodontics, Midwestern Association of Orthodontists, Illinois Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Omnicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Society. He believes firmly in the value of continuing education and attends study clubs and seminars throughout the year. He is committed to being an active member of these organizations in order to stay current with the ever-changing advances in orthodontics. He is dedicated to being on the leading edge of technology that makes orthodontics more comfortable, more effective, and more esthetically pleasing. In practicing orthodontics, he enjoys interacting with patients as he uses his knowledge to improve their self-esteem and lives through their smiles. His sincere commitment to the profession of orthodontics and genuine concern for the overall welfare of his patients is why he makes a positive impression on any patient who walks through the door. Dr. Varghese is a Chicago native. He and his wife, Sybil, have two children, Jonah and Dylan. In his spare time, Dr. Varghese enjoys sports (golf, basketball, softball), outdoor activities, and spending quality time with his family and friends. |
